Modern Couture Educator
My relationship with sewing began in childhood, when my grandmother taught me how to sew on a toy sewing machine. I was passionate about making clothes for myself, so I began my professional sewing education in Buenos Aires as a teenager.
As soon as I finished high school, I moved to Paris to study Art History and then Fashion Design. During my studies, I was lucky to work with renowned designers and brands, and discover how luxury fashion houses operate. I also studied the principles of slow fashion and French savoir-faire.
After finishing my degree at Istituto Marangoni, I focused on my fascination with Couture techniques by launching a Demi-Couture line. This experience allowed me to truly understand the differences between industrial production and craftsmanship. I discovered most of the techniques taught to home sewers are actually intended (and optimized) for industrial sewing. This makes learning how to sew harder than it has to be, while also lowering the quality of the clothes we make.
So, in 2025 I decided to shift from designer to teacher, creating my Modern Couture.
I created École Novo to teach Couture sewing techniques to a new generation, sharing everything I have learned along the way so you can create your dream wardrobe without moving to Paris.
